Guido Sant'Anna embarks on his debut tour of South Korea

This month Brazilian violinist Guido Sant'Anna travels to South Korea for the first time to embark on a recital tour. The project, part of his award as winner of the Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition last year in Vienna, constitutes Sant'Anna's anticipated debut in Asia. Along with South Korean pianist Samuel Sangwook Park, the two artists will perform an elegant programme of works by Tartini, Beethoven and Brahms. Highlights of the tour are the recitals at Seoul's Mapo Art Center and the Tongyeong Concert Hall on 6 and 10 September respectively, with further appearances taking place in Daejeon, Sejong and Gangneung.

Ahead of the 23/24 season, Sant'Anna made his German debut by opening the Rheingau Musik Festival along with Alain Altinoglu and hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, performing Édouard Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole. His appearance at the festival garnered him unanimous praise by the press. The success in Rheingau was followed by subscription concerts in his native Brazil with the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra and music director Thierry Fischer.

Following the tour in South Korea, Guido Sant'Anna will commence his studies at the Kronberg Academy, Germany.
