Artist Manager

KD SCHMID Berlin

Job title:               Artist Manager (m/f/d) full-time

We specialize in customised, strategic artist management and organising international tours and projects. We have a distinctive international corporate style and are known for building long-term relationships with artists, orchestras, promoters, and venues. The Berlin office was established in 2011 and today includes a team of 8 employees, located near the Zoological Garden in Berlin.

2. Job Description

  • Management and development of a General and Local Management Artist List. 
  • Responsible for the selling and booking of engagements as well as the creation and implementation of individual artist strategies.
  • Collaboration with a team of international Artist Coordinators and Managers.
  • Negotiating and finalising of contracts with event organisers.
  • Management and maintenance of partnerships with event organisers and orchestras on both national and international levels.
  • National and international travel to concerts, conferences, and business meetings.

3. Key Responsibilities 

  • Proven experience in artist management.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Confident negotiation skills in both German and English are essential. Additional language skills are desirable.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining industry contacts.
  • Knowledge of the classical repertoire and the European music and events scene.
  • Ability to work independently and purposefully, combined with strong team and adaptability skills as well as solution-orientated mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, confident demeanour.

Personal Assistant

Job title:               Personal Assistant to the Managing Director and Office Manager (m/f/d) full-time

2. Key Responsibilities
    2.1 Personal Assistant

  • Comprehensive, proactive, and intuitive support for the Managing Director (MD).
  • Responsible for calendar management, scheduling, preparation, follow-up, and organisational support for meetings and travel activities of the Managing Director.
  • Managing and handling, internal and external inquiries, as well as incoming emails.
  • Handling sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Taking on ad-hoc project tasks as needed upon request from the MD.

    2.2 Office Manager

  • Management and optimisation of office supplies and equipment, repairs, and service contracts, as well as compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Administrative support through office budget planning and adherence, internal distribution of mail, and organisation of internal meetings and events.

3. Essential Competencies

  • Strong organisational understanding and planning skills, as well as a creative and solution-orientated approach.
  • Independent, calm, and efficient task and time management, also in high-pressure situations. 
  • Strong teamwork ability, integrity, and empathy combined with excellent communication skills in German and English are essential
  • Handling high-level contacts and the ability to build relationships.
  • Advanced IT knowledge, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Interest in classical music and related art forms is advantageous.
