Our Network

Since the founding of the concert agency in 1959 by Hans Ulrich Schmid, the company's headquarters have been located in Hanover, and since 2002, KD SCHMID has resided in its own building at Königstraße 36.

From here, we organise and coordinate international tours for leading orchestras worldwide. Part of the artist management department is also based in Hanover.

The London office of Konzertdirektion Schmid was established in 1998 by Managing Director Karen McDonald to strengthen and expand the agency's position as one of Europe's leading artist management agencies within the English-speaking and Scandinavian markets. Since then, the UK branch has grown steadily in size and reputation, and today, with 25 employees, it is the largest of the four company locations.

Located in the vibrant West End of London, our team is passionately dedicated to the bespoke management of an exclusive selection of artists, significantly contributing to KD SCHMID's success as a leading name in international artist management.

The Berlin branch of the Konzertdirektion was established in July 2011 at Charlottenstraße 43. In February 2023, it relocated to a new office in Berlin's City West, in the Charlottenburg district. Since September 2024, KD SCHMID has been located at Hardenbergstraße 9A.

The primary focus here is on managing internationally renowned artists and the sustainable development of promising young talents.

A strategic partnership with the Konzertdirektion Dr. Rudolf Goette in Hamburg that has existed since 2013, which came about through the long-standing connections of the Funke and Schmid families and Burkhard Glashoff as Managing Director at Goette.

DK Deutsche Klassik GmbH is the result of the merger of some of the most traditional owner-managed concert series and artist agencies in Germany.

In 2024, KD SCHMID proudly extended our global network with the opening of our fourth location in New York City. This expansion marked a significant milestone for KD SCHMID. 

With locations on both sides of the Atlantic, it further strengthened our reach and position in artist and tour management to offer a truly tailored approach for our valued roster of artists, orchestral clients, and projects in the North American market.
