Steven Banks plays world premiere at Zankel Hall in New York

Today, Friday 17 May 2024, the world premiere of the Augusta Reed Thomas saxophone concerto "Haemosu’s Celestial Chariot Ride" will take place at 7:30pm.

Based on six Korean sijo, for solo saxophone, six or seven players, and string orchestra, performed by the Sejong Soloists, Steven Banks, saxophone, conducted by Hannah von Wiehler at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall in New York.
