Seong-Jin Cho returns to the Concertgebouworkest

This week, renowned South Korean pianist, Seong-Jin Cho, returns to the Concertgebouworkest for two performances under the baton of Santtu-Matias Rouvali. At the age of just twenty-one years old, Cho made his debut with Concertgebouw in 2015 and returned to Amsterdam’s famous hall in 2017 for his solo debut.

The concerts on 5th and 7th January 2024 will follow a romantic programme. Chopin’s flamboyant First Piano Concerto is in excellent hands with Cho’s “breathtaking nimbleness”. The performances will also include Schubert’s Sixth Symphony and the Concertgebouw Orchestra’s first ever performance of music by Louise Farrenc.
