We are delighted to share the news that Kerem Hasan has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra (NNO), beginning 1 August 2025.
His inaugural performances in this role are scheduled for spring 2026, marking the start of a four-season collaboration. This new chapter builds on a longstanding relationship between Kerem and the NNO, which began with a remarkable debut in 2018.
Speaking about the appointment, Kerem Hasan commented: “From my very first collaboration with the NNO, I felt a rare and genuine connection with this remarkable group of musicians. To now deepen that relationship and shape a shared artistic journey over the coming seasons is both a privilege and a joy. The orchestra’s curiosity, vitality, and rich musical instinct continue to inspire me.”
NNO Artistic Leader Marcel Mandos said: “The chemistry between Kerem and the NNO has been special from the first cooperation onwards. The orchestra, that has artistically developed strongly in recent years, is looking forward to intensify the cooperation with Kerem.”
Kerem Hasan joins the orchestra's artistic team alongside Chief Conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen and fellow Principal Guest Conductor Hartmut Haenchen.
