Kerem Hasan Returns to Welsh National Opera for The Marriage of Figaro

Kerem Hasan returns to Welsh National Opera to conduct Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. After the successful opening on 6 February in Cardiff, additional performances are scheduled across the Southwest of England throughout the spring. This engagement marks a full-circle moment in Hasan’s career, which began in Cardiff as Associate Conductor for WNO. 

The cast includes Chen Reiss as Countess Almaviva and Christina Gansch as Susanna, in a Tobias Richter production with set design by Ralph Koltai. 

Between performances with WNO, Hasan will travel to Australia to conduct the Australian Youth Orchestra, with a program featuring Richard Strauss's Ein Heldenleben. In March, he conduct the Orchestre symphonique de Québec.
