Kazuki Yamada: US Debuts with the San Francisco Symphony and the New York Philharmonic

This November, Kazuki Yamada makes his highly anticipated US debuts with two of the country's most prestigious orchestras, starting tonight with the San Francisco Symphony.

From 15 to 17 November 2024, Yamada will conduct the San Francisco Symphony at Davies Symphony Hall, presenting a programme centred around themes of comfort and connection. The evening begins with the US premiere of Dai Fujikura's 'Entwine', followed by Fauré's heartfelt 'Requiem', and Hélène Grimaud's performance of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major.

Later in the month, Yamada will make his debut with the New York Philharmonic at David Geffen Hall. The concerts, running from 27 November to 1 December 2024, feature Fujikura’s 'Entwine', Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, and Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2, with Yunchan Lim as the soloist. Tickets are still available for the final performance on 1 December.
