Delyana Lazarova: Debut with the Tiroler Sinfonieorchester Innsbruck

It is a season of debuts for Delyana Lazarova. After successful first engagements with the Enescu Festival Bucharest, the Sofia Philharmonic, the Orchestre National de Bordeaux and the BBC Symphony at the beginning of this season, the Bulgarian-born Lazarova will take the podium of the Tiroler Sinfonieorchester Innsbruck for the first time this week.

Thematically, the concert celebrates the 130th anniversary of the Tiroler Sinfonieorchester Innsbruck, and the evening's works all have a connection to the orchestra and its anniversary. Dvorak's 9th Symphony "From the New World" was written in 1893, the year the orchestra was founded, to build a bridge to Tyrol's music life of today. Futhermore, a ballet piece by Tyrolean composer Christoph Dienz, "Lux Umbra" will be performed.
