Dallas Symphony Orchestra touring Europe

To conclude the orchestral tour season of KD SCHMID, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, under the leadership of its principal conductor Fabio Luisi, is embarking on its first European tour in over 10 years.

The tour, consisting of a total of 10 dates from June 3 to June 16, will take the orchestra to Spain and Germany, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, and finally to Brussels. The tour is joined by Anne-Sophie Mutter performing John Williams' Violin Concerto No. 2, which she also previously presented in Dallas under Fabio Luisi, Thomas Hampson (baritone) and James Ehnes (violin).

The tour begins with a concert this evening at 7:30pm in Zaragoza, featuring Thomas Hampson, who will also present Weill's "Four Whitman Songs" in Madrid on June 5.
