Andris Nelsons and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig begin their European Festival tour

We are delighted that Andris Nelsons and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig begin their European Festival tour today. They will perform in Konzerthaus Dortmund (8 September), Philharmonie Berlin as part of the Berliner Festspiele (9 September) and in the Bartók National Concert Hall, Budapest (11 September).

They will perform the Shostakovich Chamber Symphony, Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.1 with soloist Yuja Wang (Dortmund and Budapest), Gubaidulina's 'Der Zorn Gottes' (Berlin) and Beethoven's Symphony No.7.

They will then return to Leipzig for their 2022/23 season opening concerts (16 and 18 September) where they will perform with Yuja Wang.
