KD SCHMID Fellowship Scheme is a programme to support young, exceptionally talented artists. It is intended as an extended training and enabling musicians to gain important experience in their future professional field and working with a professional management.
A maximum of three fellows (musicians under 30 years of age who are at the beginning of a promising professional career) will be selected per year; applications are not possible. The fellowship is initially set up for a period of 12 months, however can be extended if necessary and by mutual agreement.
In terms of content, the Fellowship Scheme offers Fellows a broad catalogue of services, including career planning/advice and selective concert acquisition, as well as networking, mentoring by KD SCHMID artists, and further development of complementary skills such as time management, programming, PR & social media, etc. Depending on the profile and existing skills, a tailor-made programme is developed and implemented for each individual Fellow.
“For these talented young musicians and also for us as a company, our new Fellowship Scheme is an important investment in the future! We want to empower our Fellows to make their own, well-informed decisions and, in the best case scenario, to develop into genuine partners for a collaboration at eye level."
Karen McDonald, Managing Director KD SCHMID
