New Album: 'Oiseaux Tristes' by Fazıl Say

Today, Friday, September 13, renowned pianist Fazıl Say releases his highly anticipated new album 'Oiseaux Tristes' under the Warner Classics label.

'Oiseaux Tristes brings together works by three major French composers,' explains Fazıl Say. The album, named after the poignant piece from Maurice Ravel’s 'Miroirs', elegantly bridges the Belle Époque and the Baroque periods. Both Ravel and Claude Debussy were inspired by the Baroque master François Couperin – a timeless connection that Fazıl Say masterfully brings to life. The album includes Debussy’s 'Suite Bergamasque', featuring the world-famous 'Clair de Lune', which reflects the poetic influence of Paul Verlaine. Ravel’s 'Miroirs' captivates with vivid soundscapes, while Couperin’s 'Quatrième Livre de Pièces de Clavecin' shines with Baroque sophistication – expertly arranged by Fazıl Say for the modern piano.

Experience the elegance of French classics, reimagined by one of the most remarkable pianists of our time.

'Oiseaux Tristes' is now available on all platforms.
