Dima Slobodeniouk returns to the podium of the Dresdner Philharmonie

Conductor Dima Slobodeniouk returns to the Dresdner Philharmonie opening the concerts with 'Drifts', the middle part of a large orchestral triptych by Finnish composer Sebastian Fagerlund, composed 2017.

This is followed by THE piano concerto par excellence - Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. Well-known and much loved, with a new and exciting aspect: in the original version, performed at one of the last concerts conducted by Tchaikovsky himself, which remained neglected for a long time. It was only rediscovered through the efforts of pianist Kirill Gerstein. The programme concludes with Lutosławski’s complex and emotional Symphony No. 3.

The concerts will take place on October 25 and 26, 2024, both at 7:30 pm at the Kulturpalast Dresden.
