Christian Tetzlaff on Tour with the London Philharmonic Orchestra

Christian Tetzlaff is on tour with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Dima Slobodeniouk, performing Jean Sibelius’ Violin Concerto in d minor op. 47, a work that holds a special place in his repertoire. Tetzlaff’s deep connection to this concerto, which he has recorded twice, is rooted in its raw emotional intensity and existential depth.

The tour includes performances in Rotterdam, Eindhoven, Bruges, and Utrecht, showcasing Tetzlaff’s interpretation of a piece he describes as “fiddling against fate.” For him, the Sibelius Concerto is more than a virtuosic showcase—it is a powerful, human struggle, filled with wild, desperate energy

He will then take the concerto to the U.S., where he will perform it with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
