Bruce Liu Makes His Debut at the Wiener Musikverein

As part of his recital tour, Bruce Liu will make his debut at the Vienna Musikverein on January 29, 2025. The renowned "Golden Hall," celebrated as one of the world's finest acoustic spaces, provides the perfect setting for a programme that highlights Liu’s versatility and profound understanding of the piano repertoire.
The tour is filled with significant milestones, including Liu’s highly anticipated return to Carnegie Hall. His concert there on January 24, 2025, builds on the success of his acclaimed recital debut in 2023, where he captivated a sold-out audience with both technical brilliance and profound musical depth.

The tour programme features Rachmaninoff’s arrangement of the "Scherzo" from Mendelssohn’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", Scriabin’s Fourth Sonata, and Prokofiev’s Seventh Sonata, one of the famous “War Sonatas.” At the heart of the program is Tchaikovsky’s "The Seasons", which Liu recently recorded for Deutsche Grammophon.

Bruce Liu’s artistry demonstrates that virtuosity and musical expression are not opposites but complementary elements of a unified performance. His exceptional musical intelligence enables him to balance technical precision with emotional depth, serving the music with equal dedication.
