Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra on Tour
Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra begins their European tour with a residency in Salzburg, presenting three diverse concert programmes under the baton of Principal Guest Conductor, Sir Marc Elder. The repertoire includes works by Jean Sibelius, Richard Strauss, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
In Salzburg, renowned soprano Camilla Nylund will perform Richard Strauss’ poignant late "Four last Songs". In the subsequent concerts, including a performance at the Meistersingerhalle in Nuremberg, celebrated violinist Arabella Steinbacher will take centre stage with Beethoven’s Violin Concerto as the focal point of the programme. Concluding the tour at Muziekgebouw in Eindhoven, soprano Miah Persson will be the featured soloist in Four last Songs.
