Arabella Steinbacher returns to the Engadin Festival

After five years, violinist Arabella Steinbacher returns to the Engadin Festival in Switzerland today, Saturday 27 July and opens the festival at 19:30pm at the Rondo Pontresina Culture and Congress Centre. She will be accompanied by the Czech Plzeňská Filharmonie under the direction of its first guest conductor Jan Schultsz.

The evening will feature a programme with Wagner's overture to the opera ‘Tannhäuser’, Korngold's violin concerto and Smetana's ‘Má Vlast’ (My Fatherland): ‘Vyšehrad’, ‘Vltava’ (The Moldau) and ‘Šárka’.
