Anna Rakitina and the Jussen Brothers Kick Off their 2024/25 Season in Denmark

On Wednesday 28 August 2024, at 19:00, conductor Anna Rakitina will lead the Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester at the opening concert of the 2024/25 season at Alsion in Sønderborg.

The soloists will be the renowned piano duo Lucas and Arthur Jussen performing Mozart's ‘Concerto for Two Pianos in E flat major'. The Jussen brothers, who made their professional debut with this work at the ages of 10 and 13, will delight the audience once again under Rakitina's baton. Rakitina will also lead the orchestra in Nielsen's ‘Overture to the Masquerade’ and Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 2, a hallmark of the Russian Romantic tradition.
