Andris Nelsons and Gewandhaus Orchestra on tour

The Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, under baton of its chief conductor Andris Nelsons, is embarking on an extensive tour through Spain, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. Organised and managed by KD SCHMID, the tour will take the orchestra to renowned concert halls such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Musikverein Vienna, and the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden.

For this tour, the orchestra is presenting two different programmes. One programme showcases Felix Mendelssohn’s rarely performed "Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra" in A-flat major, with Lucas & Arthur Jussen as soloists, alongside Mahler’s "Blumine" and Dvořák’s "Symphony No. 8". In the center of the second program is Gustav Mahler’s "Symphony No. 4" (featuring Christiane Karg or Nikola Hillebrand as soprano soloists) complemented by Dvořák’s symphonic poem "The Golden Spinning Wheel".
