Miki Kekenj and the Takeover! Ensemble Join KD SCHMID Projects

KD SCHMID Projects welcomes two new additions: Miki Kekenj and the Takeover! Ensemble.

With the Takeover! Ensemble, Miki Kekenj devises programmes for a music-loving "Generation Pop" without leaving classical music behind. The idea is in the name: the concert space is claimed and reshaped, for performers and audiences alike.

A violinist from a family of violinists and a hip-hop producer since his teens, Miki Kekenj brings genres together on equal terms. He also joins KD SCHMID Projects as a conductor for special projects, working with orchestras on programmes with guest soloists, his own works or other repertoire.
