Acclaimed for his dual career as both conductor and virtuoso harpsichordist, Francesco Corti has established himself as one of today’s most sought-after interpreters of repertoire spanning the renaissance to the early romantic eras. A long-standing collaborator with Il Pomo d’Oro, he has led the ensemble in celebrated tours, performing at prestigious venues such as the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Teatro Real, Philharmonie Berlin, Elbphilharmonie, Barbican Centre, Palau de la Música Catalana and Theater an der Wien. Francesco collaborates with an illustrious list of singers, such as Joyce DiDonato, Michael Spyres, Jakub Józef Orliński and Anna Prohaska, as well as chamber music partners Nicolas Altstaedt and Ilya Gringolts.

In opera, Corti is Music Director at Drottningholm Royal Court Theater in Stockholm, where he has conducted productions by Handel, Purcell, Lully and Telemann, and he has recently appeared at the Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli. His upcoming projects include Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, and Le Nozze di Figaro for his debut at Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam.

In Europe and beyond, Corti has appeared with ensembles and festivals such as the Freiburger Barockorchester, the English Concert, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Kammerorchester Basel, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Boston Early Music Festival and the Netherlands Bach Society, captivating audiences with performances that combine scholarly insight with interpretive precision.
