KD SCHMID is excited to welcome cellist Charlotte Melkonian to our fellowship scheme.

Born in 2013, Charlotte is one of the youngest scholarship holders of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation. Performances have already taken her to major venues including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, and the Philharmonie Berlin, and in 2024 she made her Carnegie Hall debut with the Orchestra of St. Luke's. Recent and upcoming highlights include the opening concert of the Usedom Music Festival with Robert Trevino and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, and an appearance with the Kiev Symphony Orchestra at the Elbphilharmonie.

Through our fellowship scheme, we provide tailored support to artists at the start of their careers, drawing on the expertise of our team and roster. Built around a bespoke plan for each fellow, the programme is designed to equip them with the knowledge, connections and confidence to develop their careers.

We look forward to accompanying Charlotte on the next stage of her journey.
