KD SCHMID Artists win OPUS KLASSIK 2026

We are delighted that three of KD SCHMID artists have been named winners of this year's OPUS KLASSIK awards.

Christian Tetzlaff is honoured in the category 'Instrumentalist of the Year' for his album 'Elgar/Adès: Violin Concertos' which he recorded with John Storgårds and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

Andris Nelsons receives the award in the category 'Conductor of the Year' for his album 'Felix Mendelssohn: Symphonies & Oratorios' with the Gewandhausorchester.

Lucas & Arthur Jussen together with Alexej Gerassimez and Emil Kuyumcuyan, are recognised in the category 'Live Performance of the Year Ensemble/Orchestra' for their 'Piano Percussion Project'.

The OPUS KLASSIK is one of Germany's most prestigious classical music awards and is presented annually for outstanding recordings and live performances.
