Alexandra Dariescu returns to the US

Pianist Alexandra Dariescu started the 2024/25 season as a presenter at the Leeds International Piano Competition, alongside Petroc Trelawny. As part of the competition, she introduced the Alexandra Dariescu Award, recognising outstanding performances of works by female composers, in line with her commitment to a more inclusive concert repertoire.

Following the competition, Dariescu will make her debut with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. From 26 to 29 September, she will perform Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major at Benaroya Hall, conducted by Tianyi Lu.
