A KD SCHMID Weekend in London
It’s hard to miss KD SCHMID artists in London this weekend, with a line-up of performances across the city’s most iconic concert halls.
This evening, Friday 11 April at 19:30, at the Barbican, pianist Alexandra Dariescu appears with Sakari Oramo and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, presenting Doreen Carwithen’s captivating Piano Concerto.
On Saturday 12 April at 19:30, Jan Lisiecki will perform Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto, the Piano Concerto No. 5, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Tarmo Peltokoski, at the Royal Festival Hall.
The weekend concludes on a high note at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 13 April at 15:00, where Arabella Steinbacher joins the Philharmonia Orchestra under the baton of their Chief Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali to perform Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, followed by Shostakovich’s powerful Symphony No. 15.
