Kerem Hasan is regarded as one of the most exciting young British conductors. He is the designated General Music Director of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where he will begin his artistic collaboration at the start of the 2027/28 season. Since the 2025/26 season, he has been Principal Guest Conductor of the Noord Nederlands Orkest, having previously served as Chief Conductor of the Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck. He laid the foundation for his international career in 2017 by winning the prestigious Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award.

He opens the 2026/27 season in the Netherlands with a concert project at the Residentie Orkest. This is followed by a tour with the Philharmonia Orchestra and organist Anna Lapwood, with concerts in Essen, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Cologne and Rotterdam. Alongside his duties as Principal Guest Conductor in Groningen, further engagements bring him back to the Dresdner Philharmonie, the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Orkest Phion and the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. He also makes his debuts with the Copenhagen Phil, the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, the Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal and the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra.

He enjoyed great success last season with the new production of Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking at English National Opera. He has also led productions at Welsh National Opera (Le nozze di Figaro), Opera North (La Rondine), English National Opera (Carmen, Così fan tutte), Glyndebourne on Tour (The Rake's Progress) and at the Tiroler Landestheater (Samson et Dalila, Rigoletto, The Rape of Lucretia, La Traviata).
