Artistic careers with vision and substance
KD SCHMID is an international artist agency with offices in Berlin, London, and New York. Since 1959, we have worked closely with artists to shape their careers, design and deliver international tours, and realise projects that open new dimensions for classical music.
What defines us is the balance of strategic insight with a refined sense for what allows artistry to flourish, supported by an approach rooted in trust, expertise, and genuine personal connection. Our commitment begins long before a performance and continues well beyond it: we create environments where musical ideas can take shape and evolve, supported by structure, dialogue, and an openness to potential and change.

Artist management built on transparency and artistic integrity
In music, there
can be no compromises. Our work is dedicated to ensuring that artists have the
freedom to pursue their artistic vision without constraint. At the same time,
every other aspect of a professional musician’s life requires the highest level
of organisation, clear communication, flexibility, and understanding. Building
the bridge between artistic purpose and organisational demands is at the heart
of what we do.
Your music means the world to us.
This guiding
principle informs our work at every step – not as a slogan, but as a genuine
approach.
Our focus lies
in the long-term management of artistic careers and the planning and delivery
of international tours. In addition, we foster distinctive formats that
cross boundaries, reach new audiences, and expand the concert hall into a space
for dialogue and reflection.
Working together for the future of orchestral touring in classical music
Beginning with the 2027/28 season, KD SCHMID’s touring activities are part of SCHMID RAAB & BOEHM (SRB), Europe’s leading agency for
orchestral tours. Our Artist Management continues independently – with its own
profile, an international network, and as part of DK Deutsche Klassik, an
alliance dedicated to one purpose: ensuring the sustainable future of classical
music
