Tour in memory of the end of World War I

The Orchestre National de Lyon and Khatia Bunjatishvili under the direction of Leonard Slatkin will be honoring the end of World War I on this tour. The programme reveals many links to the historical backgrounds of the composers. La Mer commemorates the 100th anniversary of the death of Claude Debussy, while Maurice Ravel’s Tombeau de Couperin was dedicated to his friends who died in the war. Opening in Berlin, the tour cuts right through Germany with four stopovers and a final concert in Munich.
