Thomas Hampson joins New York Philharmonic for Asia Tour

Renowned baritone Thomas Hampson, known for his deep understanding of Mahler’s compositions, will join the New York Philharmonic for a significant Asia tour under the baton of Music Director Jaap van Zweden.

Hampson will perform selections from Mahler’s song cycle, "Des Knaben Wunderhorn", praised for its evocative and emotionally resonant interpretation, on 28. June in Guangzhou and 2. July at the Music in the Summer Air Festival in Shanghai. Additionally, the program includes Shekhar's "Lumina" and Brahms’s Fourth Symphony.
