Tanglewood 2022

We are delighted that a number of KDS artists will be performing at Tanglewood for their 2022 season including Andris Nelsons, Seong-Jin Cho, Lucas & Arthur Jussen, Håkan Hardenberger, Dima Slobodeniouk and Anna Rakitina. Nelsons will conduct the Boston Symphony Orchestra for a variety of different concerts including performances of the US premiere of Helen Grime’s Trumpet Concerto with soloist Håkan Hardenberger on 10 July and on 24 July Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.2 with soloist Seong-Jin Cho. On 17 July, Nelsons will conduct the US premiere of Fazıl Say’s Piano Concerto for four hands, featuring the Jussen brothers as soloists, who will be making their Tanglewood debut.

Dima Slobodeniouk is conducting the Boston Symphony Orchestra on two occasions this year inviting guests to two different programmes starting with Dutilleux, Mendelssohn, Debussy, and Ravel featuring Leonidas Kavakos on 13 August and Unsuk Chin subito con forza, Bruch Violin Concerto with soloist Itzhak Perlman and Brahms Symphony No. 1 on 21 August. On 26 August, Anna Rakitina conducts the Boston Symphony Orchestra in a programme of Shostakovich’s Waltz No.2 from the Jazz Suite, Dvořák’s Violin Concerto with soloist Gil Shaham, Shostakovich’s Symphony No.3 and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor.
