Internationally acclaimed pianist Fazıl Say will perform two concerts as part of the Beethovenfest Bonn. On October 2 at 7:30 pm., he will perform at the Plenarsaal Bonn, and on October 3 at 11:00 am, he will appear at the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn.
The programme on October 2 will feature Janáček’s Sonata '1.X.1905', Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 17 ('The Tempest'), as well as Say’s own composition, 'Gezi Park 2'. In addition, he will perform his '4 Ballads'. A special highlight will be the world premiere of Amir Shpilman’s new composition, a work for vocal ensembles and multimedia based on motifs from the 'Ode to Joy', supported by BonnVoice and the Sunrise Youth Choir.
For the October 3 concert at the Bundeskunsthalle, Fazıl Say will present a similar program, again featuring Janáček’s '1.X.1905' and Beethoven’s 'The Tempest', along with Say’s 'Gezi Park 2'.
