The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and its principal conductor Lahav Shani will take part in this year's opening ceremony of the Musikfest Bremen. They will be accompanied by Vilde Frang, who will play Max Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1. Also on the programme: Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 3 in G major, KV 216, in which Lahav Shani himself performs as soloist. The audience can also look forward to Stravinsky's "Petrushka" and Ravel's "La Valse" - both commissioned by Sergei Djagilev for his ‘Ballets Russes’.
