The brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen will be guests at the Ruhr Piano Festival on May 13 together with the WDR Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Krzysztof Urbański, the Dutch piano duo will perform Mendelssohn's Concerto in E Major for Two Pianos and Orchestra in Wuppertal.
This is the Jussen brothers' fifth appearance at the Ruhr Piano Festival. The program, which also includes Mendelssohn's Overture to "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and Prokofiev's Suite from "Romeo and Juliet," will undergo a trial by fire the day before at a performance in Cologne.
The concerts will each begin at 8 p.m. and will take place on May 12 in the concert hall of the Kölner Philharmonie and on May 13 in the Great Hall of the Historische Stadthalle in Wuppertal. The concert in Cologne will be broadcast live on WDR 3.
