Following his successful debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in April 2019, Kerem Hasan is now returning to Toronto to conduct two new performances with the orchestra on March 1st and 2nd at Roy Thomson Hall.
The program will feature works by Mozart, Britten, and Missy Mazzoli. In addition to Mozart's Haffner Symphony, the orchestra will perform two of Benjamin Britten's best-known works, Four Sea Interludes and Sinfonia da Requiem. A special highlight awaits the audience with Mazzoli's fascinating concerto for double bass Dark with Excessive Bright, played by principal double bass Jeffrey Beecher.
