ICMA - International Classical Music Award 2022

The jury of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) has announced the winners of the 26 awards for 2022. The international and independent jury selected the winners from a list of nominations that included 377 productions and a wide range of artists and labels.

Adam Fischer - Lifetime Achievement Award

Dorothee Mields - Early Music
for her album "Basevi Codex- Music at the Court of Margaret of Austria" at the Audite label

Lars Vogt - Solo Instrument
for his production "Janácek: On an Overgrown Path, In the Mists, Piano Sonata '1.X.1905'" at the label Ondine

Martin Helmchen - Chamber Music
for his album "Beethoven: Violin Sonatas Nos. 8-10" together with Frank Peter Zimmermann at the label BIS

The award ceremony will take place at a gala concert on 21 April 2022 at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, with the participation of some of the prize-winners and the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Adam Fischer.
