Fazıl Say - "Ilk Şarkılar" on tour in Europe

Fazıl Say's song cycles "Ilk Şarkılar" and "Yeni Şarkılar" are very popular, especially in Turkey. The songs are based on texts by great Turkish writers and poets such as Nâzım Hikmet, Metin Altıok or Can Yücel. The Turkish mezzo-soprano Serenad Bağcan has recorded both song cycles with Say and is his regular musical partner.

From March 27, they will tour Europe together:

Cellist Jamal Aliyev and percussionist Aykut Köselerli will also be performing in selected cities. In addition to Say's famous songs, his cello sonata "Four Cities" and his piano sonata "New Life" can also be heard.
