Delyana Lazarova named Artistic Partner of ROCO (Houston Chamber Orchestra) from 2024/25

Conductor Delyana Lazarova joins the roster of ROCO’s Artistic Partners that includes conductor Mei-Ann Chen and concertmaster Scott St. John. ROCO was attracted by Lazarova’s energy, clarity and drive.

“The moment Delyana first stepped onto our podium, I knew that we had to invite all of her energy, clarity, and drive deeper into the ROCO world. We are all looking forward to how she will amplify ROCO’s innovations and connection,” Alecia Lawyer, founder and Artistic Director of ROCO, said. 

“I’m delighted and honored to join ROCO as an Artistic Partner,” says Lazarova. “The ensemble’s innovative programming and the close relationship with leading composers of our time resonated with me instantly.”

Delyana Lazarova and ROCO will next perform together on 8 February in Houston with a programme including music of Emilie Mayer, a world premiere by Clarice Assad and Beethoven’s Symphony No.7.
