David Afkham returns to Munich for a debut Performance with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks

David Afkham is set to make his debut with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks tonight. He will lead an exciting programme that will immerse the audience in the Second Viennese School. The concert will open with Anton Webern's Passacaglia Opus 1, while the highlight of the evening will be the orchestra's first performance of Franz Schmidt's Symphony No. 4, a compelling and rarely performed work. Christian Tetzlaff will be the soloist in Alban Berg's Violin Concerto.
