Cornelius Meister’s recording wins at the Gramophone Awards

We congratulate Cornelius Meister, whose recording of Hans Abrahamsen's The Snow Queen, in which he conducted the Bayerische Staatsorchester, directed by Andreas Kriegenburg, won the Gramophone 2022 Award in the category ‘Contemporary’. 

The Snow Queen, Hans Abrahamsen’s first opera, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s eponymous fairy tale was recorded in Munich for the Bayerische Staatsoper's in-house label, Bayerische Staatsoper Recordings BSOrec.

The cast features Barbara Hannigan, who is joined by Peter Rose, Katarina Dalayman and Rachael Wilson.
