Cornelius Meister to step in for Christian Thielemann at the Strauss Days at Semperoper Dresden

Cornelius Meister returns to Dresden to conduct performances of ‘Der Rosekavalier’ at the Semperoper, the place where this work was premiered, back in 1911. He will be leading on March 25th and April 3rd, the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, the Sächsischer Staatsopernchor Dresden and the Children's Choir of the Semper Opera Dresden, in a production directed by Uwe Eric Laufenberg.

The cast features Camilla Nylund, Peter Rose and Sophie Koch among others. Cornelius Meister has been closely associated with the Semperoper Dresden since his debut with Alban Berg's "Lulu" in 2012.
