Cornelius Meister to conduct tonight the premiere of Busoni’s "Doktor Faust" at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino

Cornelius Meister will be leading tonight the orchestra and choir of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Busoni’s Doktor Faust.

The production which marks his debut at the Teatro del Maggio, is directed by Davide Livermore, while the cast features Dietrich Henschel (Doktor Faust) and Daniel Brenna (Mephistopheles) in the leading roles.

Cornelius Meister will be returning to Florence to conduct further performances on 11, 14 and 21 February. The performance of February 14, 2023, will be broadcast live on Rai Radio 3.
