Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra opened the 2022/23 season on Thursday night together with Lorelei Ensemble and pianist Awadagin Pratt, for a programme including John Williams 'A Toast', which John Williams originally wrote in 2014 to welcome Nelsons to the BSO, J.S. Bach's Piano Concerto No.4, 'Rounds' by Jessie Montgomery and 'The Planets' by Gustav Holst.
Tonight, September 24, Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra will be joined by Lang Lang for their Opening Night Gala Concert. The programme includes Carlos Simon's 'Motherboxx Connection', George Gershwin's 'An American in Paris', 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' by Paul Dukas and Camille Saint-Saëns' Piano Concerto No.2
