Edison Klassiek Award

Pianists Lucas & Arthur Jussen received the Edison Klassiek Award in the chamber music category by the Edison Foundation for their recent recording "Dutch Masters" this week.

"All the ingredients are right in this carefully assembled double CD of Dutch music from the 90s. What is striking is the personal approach Lucas and Arthur Jussen take in the touching description of their connection to their teacher Ton Hartsuiker, to whom the CD is also dedicated," according to the Edison Foundation jury's statement.

This is the second time that the brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen have received an Edison Klassiek Award: For their debut recording "Beethoven Piano Sonatas" (released in 2010), the duo received the Edison Klassiek Audience Award.

The piano duo are exclusive recording artists with Deutsche Grammophon, "Dutch Masters" (released in April 2022) is their eighth album already.
