Arabella Steinbacher at the Sydney Opera House

Acclaimed violinist Arabella Steinbacher will take centre stage in two upcoming performances at the Sydney Opera House. Performing the world premiere of George Lentz's highly anticipated violin concerto "...to beam in distant heavens…" from Mysterium ("Caeli enarrant..." VII), she will be joined by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and conductor Umberto Clerici, on Friday, 28 April 28, and Saturday, 29 April 2023.

Georges Lentz, a native of Luxembourg, is renowned for his distinctive and evocative compositions. The inspiration for his latest concerto came from visualizing Arabella Steinbacher's playing, which he described as having "something angelic." The highly work showcases Steinbacher's virtuosic talents and celebrates the close collaboration between composer and performer.
