Andris Nelsons – Tanglewood 2024

Music Director Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra return to their annual residency at Tanglewood, one of the world’s foremost summer music festivals and educational institutions.

Nelsons will lead the opening night concert on 5 July 2024 at 8 pm, which features Beethoven’s Violin Concerto played by Gil Shaham, as well as Beethoven’s 3rd Symphony, the “Eroica”.

Other concerts with the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra will feature internationally acclaimed soloists such as Renée Fleming, Yuja Wang, Augustin Hadelich, Emanuel Ax, Yefim Bronfman, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and Paul Lewis.

Key highlights also include the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s collaboration with the Boston Ballet for a performance of Stravinsky’s two-act ballet “Apollon Musagète”, as well as concerts in honour of legendary BSO Music Director and Tanglewood founder Serge Koussevitzky’s 150th anniversary. Finally, Andris Nelsons will lead a concert performance of Act III of Richard Wagner’s “Die Götterdämmerung” on 20 July 2024.
