The Skride Quartet gave their first concert together in autumn 2016 at the famous Schubertiade in Hohenems, Austria. All four musicians are united by their love of chamber music, and quickly found themselves together – both personally and musically.

The ensemble has performed extensively throughout Europe, appearing at venues including The Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Musikverein Vienna, Wigmore Hall London, Louvre Paris, Philharmonie Essen, KKL Stuttgart, Concertgebouw Brugge, Sociedad Filarmonica de Bilbao, Utrecht Chamber Music Festival, Gstaad Festival, Malmö Chamber Music Festival, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Great Guild Hall Riga, Istanbul Music Festival, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Sendesaal Bremen and Schloss Thun.

In November 2019, the quartet embarked on their first tour in Australia at the invitation of Musica Viva. Over the course of three weeks, the quartet gave nine concerts in seven cities at venues including the Melbourne Recital Centre, Sydney City Recital Hall, Perth Concert Hall and Hobart Town Hall. The quartet also regularly tours the USA, and has appeared at the Tanglewood Music Festival, Library Congress in Washington, Harvard Musical Association in Boston and Schubert Club St. Paul.

The Skride Quartet's first recording of the famous Mozart and Brahms piano quartets, recorded for the ORFEO label, was released in early 2019.
