21.05.2017

The London Philharmonic Orchestra is this year’s Orchestra in Residence at the Dresden Music Festival. The repertoire of the concerts on 22nd and 23rd May 2017 ranges from Mahler (4th Sinfonie) to Chopin (1st piano concerto) and also bears witness to Vladimir Jurowski’s passion for Russian repertoire with Shostakovitch’s 15th symphony as well as Prokofiev’s cello concerto. Soloists are pianist Jan Lisiecki and cellist Steven Isserlis, who will be awarded the “Glashütte Original MusikFestspielPreis” during his concert with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
