Kazuki Yamada - debut with the Houston Symphony Orchestra

11.04.2017

Japanese conductor Kazuki Yamada will return to the USA this season to give his debut with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, conducting an almost forgotten cello concerto by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, starring the orchestra's Principal Cellist Brinton Averil Smith. The work has not been performed since its premiere in 1935, and marks the highlight of the Spanish-influenced programme.
Performances will take place at Jones Hall in Houston on 13, 14 and 15 April.
