Gustavo Gimeno debuts with the Philharmonia Orchestra London

01.06.2017

Gustavo Gimeno will make his debut on the 1st of June with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall London. No stranger to 20th century repertoire, the Spanish conductor opens the concert with Ligeti's Concert Românesc. This will be followed by Lawrence Power, performing Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Pentatonic Etude for solo viola, based on Bartók’s Viola Concerto, as a brief introduction leading into the concerto itself. Mahler Symphony No. 1 will complete the programme.
